When the founder of Kick Start – a specialised youth service – reached out to us, he had just secured a property in Rye with one purpose: to create a respite home for the young people his organisation supports. With limited time and resources, he needed a team who could take on the complete furnishing and styling process from start to finish, bringing his vision of a calming, beach-inspired sanctuary to life.

We were honoured to take on the project as a non-profit initiative, knowing the space would serve as a vital retreat for young adults in need of rest, support, and a sense of safety. Beyond the essential living and bedroom zones, the brief included a dedicated relaxation and sensory room, designed to offer moments of grounding and stillness.

Our team carefully selected a coastal-inspired palette and layered it with soft, tactile textures – mindfully chosen to suit a range of sensory needs. Every piece was curated to feel both grounding and inviting, creating a space where comfort and emotional ease come naturally.
